LG webOS
IPTV player for LG Smart TV
Scope TV is an IPTV app for LG TV, built for webOS. Install it on your LG set, connect your own M3U or Xtream Codes playlist, and watch live channels, movies and series with a full programme guide — using the Magic Remote you already have.
Scope TV is a player application only. It does not include channels, content or a subscription — you connect the playlist you already have from your own provider.
Which LG TVs are supported
- LG Smart TV models running webOS, from 2016 onwards — webOS 3.0 and later.
- LG OLED, NanoCell, QNED and UHD sets, provided they run webOS.
- Older LG Netcast models (roughly 2012–2014) through a separate build.
- Magic Remote pointer and standard D-pad navigation are both supported.
To check your webOS version: Settings → General → About This TV. Anything from webOS 3.0 up will run the player.
How to install an IPTV player on an LG Smart TV
- 1
Install Scope TV on the TV
Find Scope TV in the LG Content Store on your set, or follow the manual install instructions we send you.
- 2
Read the code off the screen
Open the app. It shows a device code — the MAC address of that television. No login and no payment happen on the TV; the app stays empty until a playlist is added.
- 3
Add your playlist from a phone or laptop
Enter that code here with your own Xtream Codes details or M3U URL, then restart the app on the TV.
What the LG player does
Xtream Codes and M3U
Portal URL with username and password, or a plain M3U link. Both are supported.
Live, movies and series
Separate sections instead of one long list, with fast channel switching.
EPG and timeshift
A readable guide, and rewind for whatever your playlist provides.
Magic Remote friendly
Pointer and D-pad both work, with input handling tuned so held keys do not lag the interface.
Parental lock
PIN-protect categories or individual channels.
Multi-device
Manage the living room, the bedroom and the holiday flat from one account.
LG questions
Which IPTV app is best for LG TV?
Scope TV is built natively for webOS rather than ported, which is what keeps it responsive on older LG sets. Every device gets a 7-day free trial, so you can compare it against anything else on your own television before paying.
Do you provide the channels?
No. Scope TV is a player only. We do not sell, host or provide channels, content or playlists of any kind.
Does it work on webOS 3.0?
Yes. webOS 3.0 and later are supported, and the player is built for the memory limits of those 2016-era sets.
How much does it cost on LG?
€4.99 per device for one year, after the free trial. One payment, no automatic renewal.
Can I use the same playlist on my LG and my Samsung?
Yes, though each television needs its own licence. Both devices are managed from the same account.
