Xtream Codes & M3U
Xtream Codes player for your smart TV
Scope TV is an Xtream Codes player for Samsung, LG, Android TV and Fire TV. Enter your portal URL, username and password — or paste a plain M3U playlist link — and the player sorts what you already have into live channels, movies and series with a full EPG.
Scope TV is a player application only. It does not include channels, content or a subscription — you connect the playlist you already have from your own provider.
What the player accepts
- Xtream Codes portal login: server URL, username and password.
- M3U and M3U8 playlist URLs, including those with query parameters.
- XMLTV programme guides, where your source provides one.
- Live streams, video on demand and series, sorted into separate sections automatically.
You provide the playlist. Scope TV has no channel list of its own and no connection to any provider — the player is empty until you connect a source you already have.
How to use Xtream Codes on a smart TV
- 1
Install the player on your television
Scope TV runs on Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV and Fire TV. Pick the page for your device below.
- 2
Enter the portal details on a phone or laptop
Type the device code from your TV screen here, along with your Xtream server URL, username and password. Nothing is typed with a remote control.
- 3
Reopen the app
Your categories, channels, films and series appear, with posters and a programme guide where your source supplies them.
What you get
Full Xtream API support
Live, VOD and series endpoints, with categories preserved as your source defines them.
M3U playlists too
If you have a plain M3U or M3U8 link rather than portal credentials, that works the same way.
EPG and TV archive
A readable programme guide, plus timeshift to rewind where the source supports it.
Large playlists
Catalogues of 20,000 or more items stay on disk rather than in memory, so the interface stays quick on a 2016 television.
Change source any time
Swap the portal or M3U link whenever you like from your account, without reinstalling.
Credentials stay off the TV
You enter them once on a phone or laptop over HTTPS, never with a remote on screen.
Xtream Codes questions
What is Xtream Codes?
It is a common API format that IPTV providers use to publish a playlist. Instead of a single M3U link, you get a server address, a username and a password, and the player fetches your live channels, films and series from that portal.
What is the difference between Xtream Codes and M3U?
An M3U is a flat list of streams. An Xtream portal exposes structured categories, video on demand and series as separate collections, plus a programme guide — so the player can organise it properly rather than showing one long list. Scope TV accepts both.
Do you provide Xtream Codes credentials?
No. We are a player application and have no connection to any provider. The credentials come from whoever supplies your playlist.
Where are my credentials stored?
They are submitted over HTTPS and held against your account so the television can fetch your list. They are never typed on the TV screen with a remote.
Can I change my playlist later?
Yes, as often as you like. Submit new details from your account and restart the app on the TV.
